2015 Marie Fletcher Award Recipients-- Larry & Phyllis Hebert
Congratulations to our 2014 Marie Fletcher Award recipients, Larry and Phyllis Hebert!
Mrs. Hebert moved to Thibodaux in August 1949 and joined our church when it was first built in 1950 while her husband joined in 1958.
In 1959, the Heberts had our church’s first candlelight wedding ceremony which has become a family tradition when their children and oldest grandchild also decided to have candlelight wedding ceremonies.
Mrs. Hebert can be found teaching Sunday school, volunteering at vacation bible school, and serving cookies and kool-aid to many children at pumpkin patch. She has also served on the Care Team and on other committees.
Mr. Hebert volunteers his time by: working from sunup to sundown at pumpkin patch, fixing anything that needs fixing on our campus, putting up tents at events, putting down sandbags before and during storms, and serving on the board of trustees.
The Heberts have two children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren that were all baptized in our church and continue to worship here.
